Falling
in love with the worldly pleasures
A man’s
heart is so weak and frail
As
temptation breaks it loose
Your
personality changed humanity
A threat
to Roman and Jewish hierarchy
Captivating
those hearing your message
Undoubtedly
human, you walked with us
Every
heart thrilled by your love
Filled
with God’s grace
Beyond
anything man can ever imagine
You
didn’t have to carry a crown, to be king
Struggling
unremittingly for ‘equal rights’;
You
carried along with you twelve followers
The
pillars that hold strong our church today
History
unable to hide you away
You glow
in the scripts of the bible
Leaving
divine footsteps everywhere
As Isa in
the Koran, you wow Islam
With
authority on earth to forgive sins
To the
dead you said, “Come forth”
“Rise
up” And they would obey.
To the
storms on the sea you said ‘Be still.’
And to a
loaf of bread you said,
“Become
a thousand meals” And it was done
Ministering
almost entirely outside religion
Teaching
the purest and sublime ethics
Crowds
mesmerized by your parables
At your
provocative words many were victims
And your
stunning deeds are fundamentals
Offering
me the way of life
