A coup friend’état

The rebel armies drew in stronger military
A London derby at the heart of England,
More like a football coup d’état
But I was chasing for your heart, my beats little
Africa was scared for a coup d’état
As Arsenal FC was chasing the league title
But I was waging a coup friend’état

African army generals were fighting for peace
Fans all over the world watched premier league
Just friends, I wanted to take it to the next level
Shocked stuck in three wars in one moment
I wept for me, Africa and the rest of the world
For our unborn generations and legendary
Days dramatically changing like coup théâtre

Playing with ball possession like Arsenal
Singing all of me, by John Legend
For a moment I won a ventricle and an artery
Unless Arsenal won this game, the title will be lost
The wars fired in flames with new weaponry
Unless we lost, we shall not die rebels
The rebels had a new strategy

With a new motto, it was fire, fire, fire
All wars with the ones in need, fighting on
Without a certain to give up
Seconds by hours I spent, to create it daily
But to you it was just a mere excitement
For being loved by someone attractive
But always goals win the match

May be I wasn’t good enough for you
I told myself as I put my arsenals down
Without reloading my ammunition
This derby determining Arsenal’s reign
As it was war and football in my veins
Army general enjoying farfetched victory
A loser, I lost my hold to your heart reins
